Boise to Host 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games

Welcome to Boise, Idaho, athletes! Beginning February 7th, Boise will be host to over 2400 athletes with intellectual disabilities who will be competing in the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games. These games will be big – 207 nations being represented.

Gene Harris Jazz Festival – Boise

Had the priviledge of attending the Jazz in June concert finale of the Gene Harris Jazz Festival held this year on June 19th through the 21st. The concert provided some of the best jazz musicians in the country – Roy Haynes, Nicholas Payton, Kenny Garrett, Christian McBridge, and Dave Kikoski.
