Capitol BlvdThanks, Kiplinger. You’ve joined the ranks of national magazines that rank Boise as a great place to live and work. It’s a little different slant than what Fortune had a couple of months ago. But the result is the same.

So what does Kiplinger have to say about Boise? “How do folks get any work done around here? The skiing, snowboarding, fishing, biking and kayaking in and around Boise are an almost irresistible temptation to desert your desk. Glance northward from the city’s orderly downtown business and shopping district, and the majestic slopes of the Boise foothills beckon.” Yep, that’s what I hear from people who come to the Boise area to look for a new place to live. If you’re an outdoors kind of person, the list of things to do here is lengthy.

Prefer the arts? Boise has a lot to offer there also. Symphony, theatre, ballet.

If you’d like to take a short trip through Boise, check out the
