This is my favorite time of year living in Boise. Here’s a few of the reasons:
After a hot and dry summer, the days have begun to cool down into the 50’s or 60’s and the evenings get even cooler. A little rain and everything is refreshed and clean. And the fall colors in the City of Trees - bright yellows, bronzes and reds - it’s hard to beat it.
Watching the Boise State Broncos on the blue turf defeat one team after another - not currently in the top 25 even though they beat Oklahoma last January in the Fiesta Bowl ( I know, different year, different team). But I love sitting in Bronco stadium watching them play.
And from that vantage point, I can look out on the Boise Front, the mountain range to the north of Boise. The sun moving across the late afternoon/evening sky and the shadows it creates are spectacular.
It doesn’t get any better than this.
