Should I buy now or later?

Karen Geselle — 21 December 2007

foreclosure-home.jpgMany buyers out there are afraid to commit to a home purchase now because of the recent direction of the housing market. If they buy now, the market may continue to go down and the home they buy will decrease in value. However, “timing” the real estate market - like the stock market - is difficult. You don’t know the bottom has hit until it’s on it’s way back up and then you’ve missed the bottom. [Read more →]

Selling your home over the holidays

Karen Geselle — 7 December 2007

Many people think that they should take their homes off the market over the holidays. With all the business of the season, who wants to continue to show their home and keep it “show-ready”. However, there’s a good reason to keep your home on the market - buyers trying to purchase at this time of year are serious buyers. Some buyers must find a new home over the holidays due to a job transfer or they’ve sold their home and need a new home to move into. So, as difficult as it is to keep your home spotless over the holidays, doing so can pay off when that buyer who needs a home NOW shows up at your door.

Karen Geselle — 15 October 2007
