The northeast doesn’t have anything on Boise. Although the fall colors of Connecticut, Vermont, and Maine have gained national attention, the fall colors in the City of Trees are outstanding this year. And one of the best place to take a look? One of the most peaceful and beautiful parks in Boise – the Kathryn Albertson Park.
Located in downtown Boise, the 41 acre park was a gift to the city of Boise from the Albertson family. It is located along the Boise River and is a mostly restored wetlands area. A walk through the park provides opportunities to see all kinds of birds including Canadian geese, Mallard ducks, and a variety of other birds. Along the pathways through the park, the visitor can see informational signage of what you might see. At this time of year, the enormous variety of deciduous trees are showing their colors in a brilliant display of orange, red, and yellow and the fall blooming flowers add their touches of lavender, purple and pink. It’s a grand show and one that you shouldn’t miss.
